Sydney– April 26, 2013 – Admiral Markets PTY, part of the worldwide operating Forex broker Admiral Markets Group, this week earned two awards in Australia: “Best of Forex for Novice Traders” and “Best of Forex for Experienced Traders”. The accolades were granted by the renowned magazine Financial Review Smart Investor. The decision is based on an elaborate test that looked at a variety of criteria which play a role for either beginners or professional traders in the Forex market, such as regulation by the Australian authorities, spreads and a strong emphasis on client education. “Our licenses, our tight spreads and our vast educational offers have always been our strong suit”, says Dmitri Laush, Executive Vice President of the Admiral Markets Group. “The awards encourage us to not only carry on, but excel further in those fields.”

The magazine explicitly acknowledged the Admiral Markets Group’s efforts in client education, stating that “Admiral Markets deserves special mention as a broker that has gone to a great deal of trouble to develop excellent online education resources for its clients” in its April issue. Trader’s information and education are at the core of the Admiral Markets Group’s strategy: The company offers regular free seminars and webinars as well as a variety of books, articles and brochure on a range of Forex-related topics.

The Australian arm, Admiral Markets PTY, produced a large amount of valuable material that is available to English speaking customers worldwide. “Education has been a priority for us right from the start”, explains Admiral Markets PTY manager Stephen Andrews. “Our market analyst and our professional trainer hold weekly webinars on specialised topics such as Fibonacci, candlestick pattern or money management. All the sessions are recorded and available online for self-study as well. Our ebook called Introduction to Foreign Exchange Trading, that explains the basics of Forex trading, is very popular with our clients. Face-to-face seminars with small groups of traders complete our initiatives”, Andrews adds.

Several more factors figured into the award decision. The so called “SI test” that was developed by the Financial Review Smart Investor focused on nine criteria for the “Novice Traders” award:

  • Australian license by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
  • No platform fees
  • Low spreads on major pairs
  • Mobile trading
  • 24-hours support
  • Availability of a demo account for practicing
  • Automatic stop/loss features
  • Availability of fixed spreads
  • Strong emphasis on client education

The nine criteria for the “Experienced Traders” category were as follows:

  • Australian license by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC)
  • No platform fees
  • Low spreads on major pairs
  • Mobile trading
  • 24-hours support
  • Variable spreads
  • Straight-through processing
  • Advanced trading tools
  • High number of currency pairs

In both categories, “Novice Traders” as well as “Experienced Traders”, Admiral Markets PTY reached the maximum “SI score” of 100, excelling in each of the criteria under examination. The company is one of only two brokers to reach the maximum score in both categories, leaving behind bigger players especially in the category “Novice Traders”. “The award is an honor for us and a reward for the effort Admiral Markets has put in providing the best trading conditions, customer service and education”, says  managing director Stephen Andrews. “For us, this is not a reason to lean back, but to work even harder to keep up the high standards Admiral Markets has been setting so far.”
